Football has a unique way of bringing people together often in non-conventional ways. In our multi-format ‘Footy Families’ series, we look at three very different football stories from around the AFLW community. ‘The Antonios’ showcases one of football’s ultimate power couples; Fremantle Dockers stars Kara Donnellan and Ebony Antonio. ‘Dad's Army’ profiles GWS Giants women’s coach Alan McConnell and the deep bond and respect that is forged between him and his charges. ‘Four-Leaf-household’ goes behind closed doors of a unique sharehouse featuring four Irish imports from three different teams. For AFLW fans, their footy family isn’t necessarily just the same people supporting their team but all the other fans that share in these other drivers and motivators.
