The AFL is pleased to announce AAMI will continue as Naming Rights Partner of the 2022 AAMI Community Series which will see all teams play one match across Thursday, March 3 to Monday March 7, 2022.

Marvel Stadium will host the first two matches of the Series with Carlton to host Melbourne on the Thursday night before the Western Bulldogs meet the Brisbane Lions on the Friday night. Both matches will start at 7:20pm AEDT.

AFL Head of Broadcasting and Scheduling Marcus King said the league would continue with the model used in 2021 which sees teams play in a pre-season practice match prior to participating in the AAMI Community Series.

"The decision to proceed with this model was made in consultation with Clubs as we look to safeguard the health and safety of the competition and the community by minimising travel prior to the Toyota AFL Premiership Season. Equally, this arrangement provides Clubs with the ability to determine individual requirements to best prepare for the season ahead," Mr. King said.

"The AAMI Community Series plays an important role for both AFL clubs and supporters and we are proud to have AAMI as the naming-rights partner for this upcoming Series as we welcome AFL fans back to each venue following an interrupted 2021 season as a result of the ongoing pandemic."

The structure of the pre-season will see each team participate in the following:
